Just wanted to say that I had Jay from Durham softcrete and his crew come and resurface my old and tired pool concrete deck. What an amazing difference!! I asked Jay when he was here for the initial look if he could also do the pool coping. We had the liner replaced in 2019 and the company that installed it, left aluminum tracking that the white coping attaches to exposed. Jay said that it wouldn’t be a problem. And it certainly wasn’t.
Jay’s crew were extremely polite and diligent in their work ethic. And when they were done, you wouldn’t have realized they were here.
If anyone is considering having some very cost effective upgrades to your pool deck without the mess and cost of ripping up or patching and concrete deck, softcrete is definitely the way to go. It completely changed the look of our backyard.

We had Marco and his guys come install a pool surround for us in May of 2019. We had an old rough concrete surround before which meant a lot of scraped toes, knees, etc. Our kids were instantly thrilled with the SoftCrete finish, as were we. So much more comfortable on the feet, not as hot as concrete/stone in the middle of summer, and way more pleasant to climb out of the pool onto! Everyone who comes over comments on how great the SoftCrete feels, and we are always more than happy to recommend Marco and his team!

Sadly, come the end of our first season, we noticed some rubber bits starting to separate from the finish. Just a couple at first, but it kept up. I got in touch with Marco and he was fantastic – he said they stood by their product and would come back to have a look and deal with our concerns.

We have a solid 3’ border around the pool, and because we had made it to the end of the first season already, the material had bleached a little in the sun. As a result, had they only replaced certain areas of concern, we would have had visible divisions between newer/older material. We weren’t thrilled with that idea, and Marco again said he stood by the product and wanted us to be completely satisfied with the final outcome, so he committed to replacing the entire deck. 2020 Spring was crazy, and while we were on the list, a lot of people were waiting for their new pools to be finished. We weren’t in a huge hurry, as we could still use our pool in the interim, so we agreed he would come at the end of the season to replace our surface.

I honestly can’t remember now why things didn’t pan out at the end of last season (I think weather, possibly?), but it turned out it was a blessing in disguise. We have lost a lot more material in the meantime, but also confirmed upon opening this spring that we have two leaks at our jets. We decided to replace our (original, 24 yr old!) liner at the same time as the pool is emptied to repair the leaks, and were concerned about Marco coming to complete the replacement this past spring, knowing our pool deck would be affected by the leak repairs.

Marco has been absolutely fantastic about this whole situation!! He has shown us great flexibility and understanding, and is committed to working with us despite all these other factors. He has been waiting patiently for our repairs and liner replacement to be completed (as have we, this season has also been wild, and our liner has taken MUCH longer than originally planned), so that we can properly replace the SoftCrete and end up with a gorgeous finished product we can all be proud of.

A lot of companies get rave reviews when things work out the first time. Not as many can maintain rave reviews when faced with difficulties/hiccoughs. We are so thankful for Marco’s patience and understanding, and remain steadfast in our support of his business and his costumer service! We highly recommend him to anyone looking for SoftCrete for any application, you won’t be disappointed!!

The crew were very professional and went above and beyond when preparing the deck for surfacing. We are extremely happy with the final result and will be recommending SoftCrete and Elite Surfacing to our friends looking for an alternative solution to cement.

I never ever post reviews but felt obligated to share my experience with Softcrete now that the installation is complete. I had a courtyard area completed and from the outset dealing with Matt S was a pleasure. He was thorough professional and helpful. From the initial quote to the tear out of the old surface communication on timelines was very good.
My particular job was not the easiest and Matt worked with me to address all details.
Installation day arrived and the experience with Matt K and his team ws no different. Terrific professionalism, friendly, polite and engaging. They answered all my questions ( I was hovering around) patiently showed me how the product was mixed etc..
The end result is fantastic and they left the area spotless.

“Jay” showed up in a very timely manner to give me a quote and explain the whole process of installing softcrete over our interlock brick.
I was so at ease with his knowledge and explanation of the process, I told him he would get the job on the spot.
So due to heavy rains in the area for days, the job was delayed by a few days, which was no problem, but Jay took it upon himself to keep me well informed of the progress of his other jobs and try to give me his best estimate of when him and his crew would show up to do the transformation on our walkway.
Well the day finally came, the crew and Jay all showed up in uniforms!! (Very impressive)
The crew all knew exactly what job each was to do as soon as they rolled into the driveway. They worked together like a fine swiss clock.
I must also tell you Marco.
Jay and his crew were very, very cautious and respectful of the rest of our property as they performed there job. (Which was a bit difficult because there was flower beds surrounding there work area)

If you are looking for options for resurfacing your pool deck – look no further. The Elite Surfacing crew completed our particular pool deck and patio resurfacing job in one day on June 13/2016. It transformed our back yard into something that could be displayed in a home and garden type magazine. The crew was friendly and pleasant. We were more than pleased. Marco and his excellent crew of installers transformed/rescued my old , deteriorated backyard concrete pool deck/patio (approx. 1500 square feet) that had been patched/repatched, painted over several times – cracked and practically unusable and turned it into a beautiful and durable softcrete work-of-art. I can’t speak highly enough of Marco and his very capable crew – extremely professional, efficient, very well organized and good-natured. In my opinion Elite Surfacing is a very CUSTOMER ORIENTED organization!!! The finished product was absolutely amazing!!! The difference between “before and after” is like “DAY AND NIGHT”!! I highly endorse Elite Surfacing – they’re simply the best!!!! I interviewed all the major rubber surfacing vendors in the GTA (site visits, obtained quote estimates, etc.) and I am thankful that I had the good sense to select Elite Surfacing (Marco et al).

Marco’s guys did a deck around my inground 16×32 pool. I got 3 quotes from 3 different companies and they were all fairly similar. They did an additional 100sq feet in an area I had grass as well near the shallow end. I had to remove the sod and dig to 4-5 inches in preparation for them. They set up a mixer on my front lawn and used wheel barrows to get the materials into the backyard which worked well. They completed the job in one day in very hot conditions. Overall I’m very happy with the product. It looks great and the kids love it. I would definitely recommend them to others. I hope the product stands the test of time. Only reason I didn’t give 5 starts in the grass took a bit of a beating where they had set their equipment up and I had to pick up several rubber pellets out of my pool but I guess that to be expected. Again I would recommend them to others.

These guys are the best in the business! Not only was their pricing more reasonable than the competition, the whole experience was enjoyable. I had a tight deadline because of a party I was hosting and they worked with my schedule to fit me in. The installers were fast, clean and courteous.
